Ricardo leverages more than 18 years of experience in the valuation industry and has participated in numerous valuation engagements, including the issuance of valuation reports for a variety of purposes, such as financial reporting, tax purposes and strategic purposes.
At Kroll, Ricardo specializes in the valuation of equity and debt instruments, including in early-stage portfolio companies. He advises a wide range of clients, including global private equity firms, venture capital funds and business development corporations. Throughout his career, Ricardo has gained extensive experience in many valuation approaches and methodologies.
Prior to joining Kroll, Ricardo worked for 10 years at EY, where he was a Senior Manager in the Valuation, Modeling and Economics group. He specialized in the valuation of equity interests, legal entities and intangible assets. Before that, Ricardo worked for more than seven years in the investment banking industry, where he was responsible for the execution of buy-side and sell-side, cross-border M&A transactions.
Ricardo holds both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in business management and administration from the University of Deusto. Ricardo is also an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in business valuation with the American Society of Appraisers.
